How long does the sauna build process take from start to finish?
Most custom home sauna projects are completed within 4–8 weeks from the initial consultation to final handover. The timeline depends on the size and complexity of your build, timber and material lead times, and site access. We'll give you a clear project schedule at the design stage.
What happens at the first consultation?
We visit your home — or connect via video call — to understand your space, how you want to use the sauna, and your style preferences. We take measurements, discuss timber options and heating systems, and answer any questions you have. There's no obligation and no pressure.
Do I need planning permission for a home sauna in Ireland?
In most cases, an indoor home sauna or a modest garden sauna cabin does not require planning permission in Ireland, as it falls under exempted development. However, rules can vary depending on size, location and your local authority. We advise on this as part of our consultation process.
What timber options do you offer?
We work with premium timbers including Western Red Cedar, Thermo Aspen, Nordic Spruce and Thermo Ash, plus pinewood and thermowood on our pre-built barrel saunas. Each has different thermal properties, aroma and aesthetic character. Our team will guide you to the right choice for your climate, usage habits and design vision.
Do you handle the full installation or do I need other tradespeople?
We manage the entire process — design, manufacture, delivery and installation. We coordinate with electricians where a dedicated circuit is needed, so you have a single point of contact throughout. You won't be left chasing multiple contractors.
